Privacy Policy

When you use VoyageHQ we collect:

• Account info: email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo.
• Trip data you enter: destinations, dates, budgets, travelers (name, age, passport expiry), bookings, itinerary items, packing lists, expenses, and notes.
• Collaborators you invite: their email address so we can send an invite.
• Usage & device data: pages visited, actions taken, browser type, and rough location derived from IP. Used for reliability, security, and product improvement.
• Cookies: a small number of first-party cookies for sign-in state and preferences. See our banner to manage analytics cookies.

• Run the service: save your trips, keep you signed in, sync across devices.
• Send transactional email: trip countdowns, arrival kits, day-of emails, recaps, and account notifications.
• Improve the product: fix bugs, understand which features help families most.
• Prevent abuse: rate limiting, spam and fraud detection.

We do not sell your personal information.

VoyageHQ uses AI models (Anthropic Claude, and other providers) to suggest trips, itineraries, and packing lists. When you use an AI feature, we send the relevant context (e.g. destination, dates, ages, preferences, chat messages) to the model provider so it can generate a response. Providers process this data as our subprocessors and do not use it to train their models on your behalf.

We rely on a small set of trusted vendors:

• Supabase / Lovable Cloud — database, authentication, storage.
• Cloudflare — application hosting and edge delivery.
• Anthropic — Claude language model for AI features.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Viator — activity search and booking links. VoyageHQ is a Viator affiliate: when you book an activity through our links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
• Google Maps / Places — destination lookup where enabled.

We keep your account and trip data while your account is active. If you delete a trip we remove it from active systems within 30 days. If you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we need to retain limited records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing kip@voyagehq.app. If you are in the EEA, UK, California, or another region with data-protection rights, you can exercise those rights the same way. You can unsubscribe from marketing email from any email footer; transactional email tied to an active trip may still be sent.

If you submit a testimonial or photos through our post-trip survey and check the consent box, we may display them publicly on our website with the display name you chose. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing kip@voyagehq.app and we will remove the content promptly.

VoyageHQ is intended for adults planning family travel. Traveler profiles for children are entered by the account holder and used only to shape trip suggestions and packing lists. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 13.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our hosting providers. Access to production data is limited to the operators of VoyageHQ. Row-level security policies scope trip data to the owner and invited collaborators. No system is perfect — if you spot something concerning, please email us.

VoyageHQ is operated from the United States. If you use the service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US and other countries where our subprocessors operate.

We'll update this page when material things change and update the effective date above. For significant changes we'll notify signed-in users by email or in-app notice.
